Design Works, Ltd. is a full service interior design firm owned by Pamela Marie Meyer.

Pamela got her degree at Bowling Green State University and later studied interior design at Russell Sage in Albany, New York. Pamela stated her business in New York in 1979 and moved the business to Pleasanton, CA. in 1980. She has passed the required tests for Professional A.S.I.D. as well as CID certification.

In the beginning, the focus of the Design Works Ltd. was primary residential interiors; however, in the 1980’s the focus was more commercial work. Pamela worked on large commercial projects like Dow Chemical and a Holiday Inn in Pleasanton, as well as medical offices and small industrial plants with offices.

During the middle of 28 years in business, model homes became a big part of Pamela’s business, as she was running as many as seven or eight models at a time. Creating every detail in a home from blueprints takes lots of imagination in addition to following the buyer profile for that particular development. Creative thinking, minding the budget, and keeping every detail on track were, and still are, key elements of a successful model home project.

Since 2000, Design Works, Ltd. has focused on medium to high end residential interiors. Pamela works with builders and architects to create beautiful interiors from the ground up. She consults on every aspect of an interior from space planning, furniture purchases, window covering design and installation, paint schemes, wall treatments, accessory purchasing and placements, flooring, surface selecting (i.e. granite, tile etc.,) artwork, built-in designs and bedding. Selecting the elements, budgeting, incorporating into the overall scheme, tracking, arranging for delivery and installation are all part of the process at Design Works, Ltd. Providing full service and bringing a fresh approach to each of the projects has always been the goal of Design Works Ltd..

In the last few years, several new avenues have opened up primarily due to contractors, builders, and realtors. Pamela was asked to expand and she did. Stage 2 is a real estate staging business (a division of Design Works, Ltd.) that has been developed to help realtors and homeowners sell a home in the fastest time period for the most money. Builders have asked for help in assisting their clients in all the numerous selections that need to be made when remodeling or building a home. Design Works, Ltd. developed a system in partnership with another design group to make the selection process run smoothly, hassle-free and, add a professional element to the final outcome. The third new venture is redesign and upgrading of B & B Inns and small Hotels in the Monterey area. Design Works, Ltd. is taking all the expertise of 28 years of residential, commercial and model home interiors together, to create pleasing environments for you.
